Shannon Wright is a songwriter from Atlanta, Ga who (to this point) has released eight albums, including her critically acclaimed collaboration with French composer, Yann Tiersen (Amelie).

Shannon has toured extensively for the past decade and a half with Shellac, Nick Cave, The Dirty Three, Rachels, Sleater-Kinney and the Shipping News amongst others.

In 2012 she will release her ninth studio album, a yet untitled exploration of her more bombastic and dynamic guitar style, as well as a return to Paris to add a second chapter to her collaboration with classical contemporary, Yann Tiersen.

Secret Blood is Shannon's seventh solo album.
